This is Part 2 of a two part series on how to make herbal salves (topical herbal treatments).
In Part 1 of the workshop (July 8th 2017) we will learning how to make infused oils using both fresh and dried herbs. We will discuss the healing properties of specific plants and why you would want to use them in a herbal healing salve. Following the discussion we will forage and harvest herbs to be made into an infused oil.
Between July 8th and August 12th students will press their oils at home using the method discussed in the workshop on July 8th. They will then bring those oils back with them and we will use them to make a herbal healing salve suitable for cuts, bites, scrapes, stings and all manner of wounds and ouchies.
Each participant will leave with a 60 ml jar of herbal salve.
Attendance to both workshops is not mandatory but extremely helpful and recommended.
